Overview
To allow your digital assistant to comply, in its interactions with the user, with the rules of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you need to plan to:
- request the user's consent to collect their personal data,
- explain to them for what purpose the chatbot collects this data,
- inform them of how long their data will be retained and of the possibility to request its extraction or deletion,
- give them the opportunity to receive answers to questions about the use of their personal data.
Retorik Studio includes a GDPR module that allows you to meet these obligations.
Module overview
The GDPR module covers 5 sections:
- Section 5 is available BUT only with the standard level of anonymisation.
Notes:
(1): In the absence of section 5 "Anonymisation", if the user does not give their consent, their conversations will not be recorded and therefore not viewable in the "History > Conversations" function of the back-office.
(2): This 2nd level of anonymisation will be a chargeable option. Not currently planned.
Each GDPR section is detailed in this documentation.
GDPR menu functions
After activation of the GDPR module on the platform, permissions must be added to the relevant roles:
If all permissions are ticked, the user will have access to a dedicated GDPR menu:
- Menu options marked with a blue dot are available in v1.5
