Framework Settings
The logo, background, colours and navigation display are configurable from the Interface Design page.
General settings
The following parameters allow you to adapt the Framework's behaviour:
- Hide Retorik logo — removes the Retorik logo from the interface.
- Hide menu — hides the navigation menu.
- Force widget display in full screen — the widget opens in full screen instead of reduced mode.
- Skip welcome screen — starts the conversation directly without displaying the welcome screen.
- Do not automatically activate the microphone — the microphone does not activate automatically when the digital employee is waiting for a response.
- Preserve conversation on next launch — the previous conversation is restored on reopening. The retention duration is expressed in seconds (default: 3,600 s).
- Do not detect device from browser — disables automatic screen format detection. Default: screen < 600 px → mobile, ≥ 600 px landscape → desktop/horizontal kiosk, ≥ 600 px portrait → totem kiosk.
- Widget Mode — customisation of title and subtitle texts.
Applying settings
Desktop or Mobile interface
Settings are applied according to three priority levels in increasing order:
- Default parameters from the Framework Config file.
- Parameters defined in Retorik Studio (if the
Davi.Retorik.Studio.Integrationfeature is enabled). - Parameters passed manually by the website — these take priority over everything.
Touch kiosk hardware interface (Kiosk mode)
For Retorik Kiosk installations (application downloaded from the Microsoft Store), settings are applied in this order:
-
Retorik Kiosk app configuration panel:
- Default mode (voice/text), wallpaper, character size
- GPS position, font size, default languages, digital employee voice
- Standby and news channel settings
-
Settings retrieved from Retorik Studio (if
Digital Employee > Settings > Integrationis enabled). -
Retorik Framework default parameters.
The following parameters are fixed in the Kiosk application and cannot be modified: isUsedOnBorne: true, enableConversationCookie: false, allowSwitchLayout: false.
Accessing Retorik Kiosk settings
Access to kiosk settings can be done via the conversational interface (text or voice mode) using the kiosk.ShowSettings action in "Digital Employee > Actions". Example trigger phrases: "Show settings", "Change wallpaper", "Open parameters".
Any modification to these phrases requires retraining the digital employee.
