Digital Employee Welcome Screen
The "Employé digital > Accueil" page lets you configure everything the user sees and hears when launching your digital employee: the default conversation mode, welcome messages, and the quick-action buttons displayed on the home screen.
Conversation mode
Choose the default conversation mode presented to the user when the digital employee launches. The user can always switch modes during the conversation.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Default mode | Select "Voice" or "Text" based on the primary usage context of your digital employee. |
| Show the conversation mode selector at launch | If enabled, the user sees a prompt to choose their preferred mode when opening the agent. |
| Show subtitles by default in voice mode | If enabled, subtitles for voice responses are displayed automatically without the user having to activate them. |
Welcome messages
This section lets you configure the messages delivered by your digital employee at the start of a conversation. Two distinct messages can be set up depending on the user's connection context.
Each message has a Translation button (visible only when multiple languages are configured on your digital employee) to enter a version in each language, and an option to deliver a different message when the user is in text mode.
First connection or long absence message
This message is displayed when the user opens the digital employee for the first time, or after a long period of absence. It is typically the most detailed message: it introduces the digital employee, their name and mission.
Returning or short absence message
This message is displayed during quick reconnections, when the user returns shortly after a previous session. It is usually shorter and more direct than the first-connection message.
Information displayed at launch
This section configures the visual elements displayed on the digital employee's home screen, alongside the spoken or written welcome message.
Message above the click-to-action buttons
An optional text field displayed above the click-to-action buttons. It provides context or introduces the actions available to the user. A Translation button appears when multiple languages are configured on your digital employee.
Click-to-action buttons
Click-to-action buttons are quick-action shortcuts displayed on the digital employee's home screen. They allow the user to trigger an action or access content directly with a single click, without having to type a question.
You can configure between 1 and 9 click-to-action buttons. Each existing button can be:
- Edited via the pencil icon
- Duplicated via the copy icon
- Deleted via the trash icon
Click "Add a click-to-action" to create a new button.
Click-to-action configuration
When adding or editing a click-to-action button, a configuration page opens with the following settings.
Type of information to display
The first step is to choose the type of content the button will trigger. Depending on the selected type, additional fields appear.

Pictogram (optional)
You can associate a visual icon with the button. Three options are available:
- Import a pictogram (.svg) — upload your own icon in SVG format from your computer.
- Retorik library — choose from a selection of icons provided by the platform.
- My library — use an icon previously imported into your personal space.
Colours
If the "Apply the setting colour" toggle is enabled, the button automatically adopts the colours defined in the global interface settings, ensuring visual consistency with the rest of the interface.
If this toggle is disabled, you can customise the colours manually:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Button background | Background colour of the button. |
| Pictogram | Colour applied to the icon. |
| Text | Colour of the label displayed on the button. |
